Encode text for safe use in URLs (percent-encoding) or decode encoded URLs back to readable text. Switch modes for full URLs (encodeURI) or HTML entities. Runs entirely in your browser.
Component mode (encodeURIComponent) encodes everything except letters, digits and a few marks — use it for query-string values, where characters like & and = must not appear raw. Full URL mode (encodeURI) keeps : / ? & = intact because they are the URL's structure. Spaces become %20 (in query strings you will also see +, which this decoder handles when it appears in form-style data — note a literal + decodes to a space only in query strings, not in paths).

The input likely contains a stray % that is not followed by two hex digits — a common copy-paste break in long URLs.
