PDF Editor

A real working PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser: add text anywhere on a page, insert images and logos, highlight passages, white out mistakes, and place a signature — then save a new PDF. Your document is never uploaded to a server.

What "editing a PDF" honestly means

PDFs were designed as finished documents, so no editor — free or paid — truly rewrites the text baked into a page the way Word edits a document. What editors do, including this one, is let you add new content on top: fresh text, images, highlights, and white rectangles ("whiteout") that cover old content so you can type the correction over it. That covers the overwhelming majority of real editing jobs: fixing a date, adding a name, filling a blank by eye, stamping a logo, signing. For heavy rewording of paragraphs, convert the PDF back to Word (the original document is always the best place to edit).

How to use it

Load a PDF, move between pages with Prev/Next, and use the toolbar: + Add text drops a text box you can type in, drag by its ≡ handle, and restyle (size, bold, italic, color) from the selection bar. Highlight box and Whiteout switch to drawing mode — drag a rectangle on the page. + Add image places a picture you can drag and resize by its corner. The Signature panel lets you draw, type or upload a signature and place it. Nothing is final until you press Save PDF — your original file is never modified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded while editing?

Never. Rendering and saving both happen in your browser (pdf.js + pdf-lib). You can even go offline after the page loads.

Can I change the existing text of the PDF?

Not directly — that text is baked in. Cover it with Whiteout and type the new text over the top; that is how all online PDF editors handle corrections.

Which fonts can added text use?

Added text is drawn in Helvetica (with bold and italic variants) so it embeds cleanly in every PDF reader.

Is there a page or size limit?

The practical limit is your device's memory. Long documents (100+ pages) open fine; very large scans may be slow on a phone.
