Resizing honestly explained
Making an image smaller is lossless common sense — detail is averaged away cleanly. Making it bigger (like the 200% button) cannot invent detail that was never captured; the browser smooths as it enlarges, which is fine for a quick preview but will look soft in print. For genuine enlargement you would need an AI upscaler (a heavier, limited tool) — we will not pretend a resize is the same thing.
